BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)

Unani System of Medicine & Surgery(BUMS) is one of the oldest remedy systems in the world. The Unani System started in Greece and from there the system of medicament was adopted by Middle-East and South-Asian countries.

BUMS is a 5-year beginner degree plan that allows you knowledge of the medical and applications of the Unani system and surgery. The Unani system of drugs is different from constant remedies (allopathy). In this, the healing procedure is done through the natural procedures/ natural power of the body. As reported by the Unani System, the body has the main power to cure itself. Such as the human needs to identify the healing power within themselves and increase it. It is known for treating numerous deadly infections and disorders naturally-based as every man in the modern age is imposed with stress and apprehensions which is a root reason for many diseases.

The structure of medicine has been in practice for 6,000 years and is mainly based on the four components that are: earth, fire, water, and air. It is studied for the treatment of weight loss, psoriasis, kidney stone, diabetes, arthritis, and others.
 

BUMS Course Duration:

This course duration of Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery [BUMS] is 4 Years. This degree is awarded after the completion of a 5 years academic program containing the 4 .5 year academic session and a 1-year training program with live practical.

The beginner program in the Unani system can be followed through the distance education system.

Eligibility Criteria:

The basic BUMS course eligibility criteria for an aspirant who is passing 12th with science stream (physics, chemistry, biology).

The Minimum Age limit for pursuing BUMS is 17 Years.

This course required minimum marks (Aggregate): 50% to 55%, which varies from college to college.

Admission:

The admissions to BUMS are done based on marks obtained by the candidates in NEET, which is a National-Level Medical gateway exam. Candidates qualifying for the NEET cutoff will be compared for admission in this course. The entire BUMS admission procedures will be done through the solacing procedures for NEET aspirants.
