6 MBBS Interns Of GMC Nagpur Suspended For Ragging

The Government Medical College ( GMC) in Nagpur has suspended 6 MBBS interns in an alleged case of ragging. The institute management received the grievance from the scholar and requested the culprits to vacate the hostel and drop their internship.

Informing PTI about the incident, a legit stated, "The action turned into taken after the junior scholar, who is in the first year of the MBBS course on the Government Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur in Maharashtra, despatched a videotape of the alleged ragging to the Central Anti-Ragging Committee."

 

The suspended students had been a present process of MBBS internships. The alleged ragging happened six months in the past. The university legitimate further informed the complainant secretly shot a video of the incident.

 

After inner research, the committee submitted its record to the university administration on Tuesday.

"After getting the committee report on Tuesday, the university authorities initiated the movement on Wednesday, as a consequence, "College Dean Dr. Raj Gajbhiye informed.

College Dean Dr. Raj Gajbhiye issued orders suspending the scholars' internship and requested them to vacate the hostel.

 

"We have already issued orders in opposition to the suspended interns to vacate the university hostels without delay," he added and reiterated that the college has 0 tolerance for ragging.

The university anti-ragging committee has additionally lodged a complaint with Ajni police station, but no FIR has been registered yet, a police official said.

"After procuring the anti-ragging committee's file, we can initiate suitable action against the interns as soon as feasible. We can even detain the interns for interrogation and research," the police officer added.

 

The police have sought extra data from the university government, he said.

An official said that the kingdom's scientific education department had requested the university authorities publish a file on the incident.
